Hungry Wolves.the dogs are on my back
   barking up my spine
waiting for me to just give in,
watching the emotions consume me

I see hunger in their eyes
   as the growls begin to get louder
claws come out, ready to attack their prey

in their stance,
they dance around my head
howling at the moon, waiting for me to drop dead
   closing in, I can barely breathe

trying to stay on my feet
but ready to fall to my knees
   closing in on me

I feel the warmth of their breath
   legs are trembling, palms are sweaty

Fighting the urge to run

Someone throw these dogs a bone,
      I want to go home.
Been there, done that.I'm full of happiness and rage
I've learned too many lessons for my age
been there, done that
I have too many "t-shirts" than I care to count
good guy, bad guy
I've played the part
played the games of love and lust
Broken heart, still just a fool.
I learned not to trust
guilty or innocent,
I've fought for both, always empty handed
I'm wrong, yet I'm always right
I take on the battles, but lose the fight
innocent child, two faced liar
I can't tell the difference anymore.
Waiting for a ride home..The sun just set,
the stars are beginning to turn on their lights
but here we lay
on the cold, shivering sidewalk
waiting for a ride home..

car broke down a foot away from us,
yet here we lay
cursing and laughing
at least we have each other
as we wait for our ride home.
Worst Enemy.We used to be best friends,
we always had the others' back,
and now you go and turn yours,
leaving me behind, wondering why?
I've heard all of your stories,
always listened with an open heart,
and the moment I need you,
you have to go and tear everything apart?
I thought you were my best friend,
someone who I could always rely on?
Is it really so easy for you,
to just turn your back on someone like that?
The laughs, the tears,
they all seem wasted now.
Every word I ever spoke, fell onto
deaf ears.
Feelings of happiness, sadness,
and everything in between,
were all wasted on you,
because I thought you'd be there for me.
